Colfax International has launched server solutions featuring eight-core Intel Xeon processors 7500 series. Custom engineered for customer environments, these Colfax platforms deliver scalable performance, and reliability, availability and serviceability (RAS) features for data demanding enterprise applications and server consolidation.

Capable of processing 64 threads simultaneously in a 4P configuration, these platforms double the memory capacity and provide up to 8x the memory bandwidth of previous generation Intel Xeon processor 7400 series-based platforms. This allows them to address more memory-intensive HPC applications such as engineering design automation, geophysical modelling, and seismic applications.

Some of the platform highlights include: up to four 8-core Intel Xeon processors 7500 series; up to 1TB of system memory; up to eight hot-swap 2.5-inch SAS/SATA HDDs; 10 PCI-Express Slots; remote management; and 4U rackmount.
