Bright Computing at ISC'15

Bright Computing has introduced the latest version of its Bright Cluster Manager for high-performance computing (HPC) at ISC’15, currently taking place in Frankfurt, Germany. Version 7.1 includes enhancements to configuration management, extended BIOS support, and fully integrated Lustre support. In addition, enhancements in the integrated support for various workload managers have been included.

According to the company, this latest version establishes a new standard for the management of HPC environments, from fine-grained control for custom kernels to refactored internals optimised for resiliency and scalability.

Bright has also recently unveiled enhancements and updates to Bright Cluster Manager for Apache Hadoop, and Bright OpenStack.

In other news, Bright Computing has launched its new and enhanced partner programme. A partner marketing team has been added to oversee the programme and work directly with OEMs, partners, resellers, and system integrators on individual joint marketing plans. The programme's main goals are to create tools to make it easier for Bright partners to understand and sell Bright solutions, to provide demand generation tools to drive demand for partners' Bright solutions, and to work directly with partners to create joint marketing activities that drive revenue.

The Bright Partner Portal has been updated with an easier-to-navigate menu and additional partner tools, such as product battle cards and an objection-handling document. Awareness and communication tools such as newsletters and email campaigns have also been made available for partner use. Additional tools will be added as they are developed.
