Intel SSD Data Center S3500 Series

The Intel SSD Data Center S3500 Series, a high-performance 6 Gb/s SATA SSD with enterprise features, including fast and consistent performance, and data protection, is now available from Silicon Mechanics. The DC S3500 is suited to big data (Apache Hadoop), virtualisation, email, web server, CDN, and cache accelerator applications.

Taking the best features of Intel’s 520 Series and 320 Series, the DC S3500 Series offers 72,000/10,000 read/write IOPS performance and protection features which include end-to-end data protection, power loss protection, 256-bit AES encryption, and ECC protected memory. Available in 2.5-inch versions ranging from 80 to 800 GB, the DC S3500 offers 20nm NAND technology, 5.0W typical operational power, and 0.65W standby.
