Seagate Constellation ES.3

Silicon Mechanics is now offering the new Seagate Constellation ES.3 hard drive.

The ES.3 model is the sixth generation of the Constellation drive technology, offering proven reliability and featuring SAS and SATA interfaces and 24x7 on-time dependability, the company says.

It provides enhanced error correction, and end-to-end SAS-based data integrity for accurate data storage, with capacities of up to four terabytes. Low power consumption and on-demand PowerChoice technology based on T10/T13 power management standards offer significantly improved power and cooling efficiencies.

The Constellation ES.3 uses multi-drive firmware maximised for enterprise RAID system availability. It features extremely robust performance with dual processors, ramp load technology, a top-cover attached motor, and humidity sensor for optimum performance in all chassis, says Silicon Mechanics.
