E4 Computer Engineering launch new appliance

E4 Computer Engineering has announced the launch of a new appliance based on the Intel Enterprise Edition for Lustre software (IEEL) and Dot Hill systems, offering a parallel file system that the company claims can deliver superb performance and ease of use as well as benefitting from the Lustre parallel file system.

The appliance is based on Intel Xeon processor-based servers using IEEL, also features Dot Hill data storage arrays that use modular architecture, which is designed to provide balanced performance.

The E4 appliance can be added to existing infrastructures, while the IEEL can be easy scaled as the needs and budget of the user change with time.
