Robert Morton heads National Instruments UK and Ireland

National Instruments has appointed Robert Morton as UK and Ireland managing director.

Morton is a 14-year NI veteran, joining NI in the UK in 1994 after graduating with a first class degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Manchester. He joined the NI Engineering Leadership Programme (ELP), and spent time developing product and technical knowledge, as well as leadership skills.

During his career to date, Morton has held various positions in the field sales team, before progressing through to the management team for the UK and Ireland office.

Morton succeeds Ajit Gokhale, who is taking up a position as international sales manager, continuing to work closely with Morton and the UK management team to ensure a smooth transition and to support the future success and growth of the UK and Ireland operation.

'I am excited about this new opportunity to contribute to the success of NI here in the UK and Ireland,' said Morton, 'and I look forward to leading and continuing to work with the talented UK and Ireland team. I remain personally committed to ensuring customer success, which drives growth and provides challenging and enjoyable careers for employees.'
