Platform Computing appoints Randy Clark as chief marketing officer

Platform Computing has appointed Randy Clark as chief marketing officer. In this role, Clark will be responsible for Platform's worldwide marketing and will also be focusing on the company's cloud computing initiative. He will be reporting to Platform's CEO Songnian Zhou.

'Platform had yet another year of record revenue and profitability and continues to invest in its existing businesses and in new markets,' said Zhou. 'Accordingly, we are also strengthening our senior leadership team. The addition of Randy Clark as CMO represents a clear shift in focus for Platform. He brings to the team experience in building market-focused organisations and in leading companies into new growth areas. Randy will be leading the development of our strategy to drive the adoption of cloud computing. From a technology perspective Platform's solutions are well positioned to deliver clouds for enterprises.'

Clark brings to Platform more than 20 years of experience in leading marketing and business development for both early stage and large public enterprise software companies. Most recently, he was VP of marketing at Symyx.
