Briar Alpert, president and CEO of BioTek Instruments, has been elected to the board of directors of the Analytical and Life Science Systems Association. Alpert has been an ALSSA member for four years and has been president and CEO of BioTek Instruments for 20 years.
Symyx Technologies has appointed Rex Jackson as chief financial officer. Jackson, who has served as interim chief financial officer since June 2007, will oversee the finance, legal, administration, investor relations, information technology and facilities departments.
DEM Solutions has appointed David Byrne as sales director for the Asia Pacific region. David will be supporting DEM’s six regional distributors and direct sales channels and will be based in Singapore. He joins DEM Solutions from Blue Ridge Numerics.
