Grid Dynamics has become a certified Microsoft consultant and is delivering innovative, end-to-end solutions on the Windows HPC server platform. This includes the HPC Excel Acceleration Tool Kit (HEAT), which is a set of simple interfaces that Grid Dynamics developed. HEAT allows customers to run complex Excel spreadsheets in distributed parallel execution environments on the Microsoft Windows HPC server 2008 R2 beta. The solution has been validated in real-world tests and can be delivered to customers by Grid Dynamics.

'As one of the world's leading consultancies focused on application scalability and HPC, we have developed practices areas and expertise around a number of HPC technologies and products,' said Victoria Livschitz, founder of Grid Dynamics. 'Microsoft's technology stack has long been a strategic area of emphasis for us. We are participating in the technology adoption programme for the Windows HPC server 2008 R2 beta. Through this programme we have gained unique insights and expertise.

In financial services, Grid Dynamics works with the likes of Bank of America, GE Money and Société Générale. In the semiconductor industry, Grid Dynamics customers include Cadence Design Systems, KLA Tencor and Mentor Graphics.

'Grid Dynamics' specialisation in application scalability, HPC and Excel will help bring value to Windows HPC Server 2008 customers,' said Vince Mendillo, senior director, Microsoft High Performance Computing Group.'
