Intel secures $2B investment from SoftBank

SoftBank and Intel have signed an agreement, under which SoftBank will make a $2 billion investment in Intel common stock.

The investment comes as both Intel and SoftBank deepen their commitment to investing in advanced technology and semiconductor innovation in the United States. It also comes amid rumours that the US government may further back Intel buying up to 10% of the company.
