For nearly two decades, Dr Tapas Sen has helped shape the evolution of chemistry at the University of Lancashire, from rebuilding a fledgling programme to leading internationally-recognised research in nanomedicine and sustainable laboratory practices. 

As founder of the Nano Biomaterials Research Group and a champion of green chemistry and sustainability in chemistry research, he combines industrial collaboration, education reform and technological innovation to reduce waste and embed sustainability across disciplines.
