PRESS RELEASE

Surfer

Founded in 1983, Golden Software is a leading provider of affordable technical graphics software for engineers and scientists. Golden Software’s Surfer program is a 3D visualisation and surface modelling package. Surfer is used extensively for terrain modelling, landscape visualisation, surface analysis, gridding, volumetrics, and much more.

Surfer’s sophisticated interpolation engine transforms scattered XYZ data into publication-quality maps. Surfer provides more gridding methods and more control over gridding parameters than any other software package on the market. Display your grid as one of nine different map types. Customise contour intervals, colour schemes, axis settings, and more. Multiple maps can be overlaid to quickly identify trends in your data.

Additional utilities include volume calculations, smoothing, mosaicking, filtering, performing math calculations on or between surfaces, calculus calculations, and more. Surfer imports and exports data files in all popular formats, and you can automate the mapping process with Golden Software’s Scripter program or any ActiveX Automation-compatible software.
