LMS, the engineering innovation company, has introduced its mobile durability data acquisition solution, the LMS Scadas Durability Recorder. The system is designed for data acquisition in extreme conditions and is fully resistant to water, dust, dirt, shock, vibrations and jolts associated with real-life testing. It offers a combination of strain-based, vibration and displacement measurements in one single system. This eliminates capital investments in multiple systems, and ensures optimal efficiency during expensive field tests.
The system also includes the LMS Scadas Smart Control, a Windows Mobile PDA solution to monitor and validate data in real-time during and directly after measurements. This allows users to efficiently guarantee data quality before the end of the test campaign and to eliminate needless test reruns.
The instrument is compact and rugged with true MIL-STD-810F compliancy. Its sturdy and robust design can stand up to the most extreme climate, shock and vibration conditions. A PC is not required during measurement and all the acquired data and the conversation formats are saved on high-performance, solid-state CompactFlash memory cards.
The instrument can be equipped with a range of universal modules. Users can expand the system from mobile data acquisition for durability to human body vibration testing, sound power homologation, structural and modal analysis, and rotating machinery testing – all based on one single system.
