The next-generation Amax ServMax H Class four- and eight-way HPC server solutions are fully optimised for the latest Intel Xeon E7 family processors, the company has announced. The H Class server solutions include extreme core counts and large memory support, providing performance and power-efficiency across a variety of HPC deployments, including financial, oil and gas, biomedical, research and government.
The ServMax H Class platforms deliver 2.67GHz performance and up to 40 per cent performance improvement for data-intensive software applications such as Ansys, Amber 11, Jacket and 3ds Max. The H Class features up to 10 processing cores and 20 threads, eight sockets, memory support for 2TB with Millbrook2, and additional 30MB of L3 cache. This provides the capability to address larger, increasingly complex and floating point applications. The platforms also incorporate enhanced encryption processes to increase encryption and decryption rates, resulting in faster execution and added protection against software-targeted attacks.
H Class server solutions include:
- ServMax HX-1401: The HX-1401 1U four-way, three-drive scalable high-performance server features eight of the latest Intel Xeon processor E7 family with 64 cores and 192MB cache in a 5U chassis. It includes 6Gbps SAS2 with hardware Raid and is suited to enterprise mission-critical applications, datacentres and data farms.
- ServMax HX-4401: The HX-4401 4U four-way, 10-drive tower features Intel Xeon processors and is suited to virtualisation, application development and high-performance computing.
- ServMax HX-5801: The HX-5801 5U eight-way, 24-drive CPU-based high-performance server features high-density and hot-swappable drive bays with flexible configurations. It is ideal for large-scale virtualisation applications, including cloud computing and CAD.
- ServMax Xn-5801G: The Xn-5801G 5U eight-way, four-GPU, 24-drive supercomputing server features 1,792-GPU cores, 4.12 Tflops of SP performance and eight Intel Xeon processors E7 family. It is best used for Ansys simulations, computational structural mechanics and numerical analytics.
