Boston, a manufacturer of high-performance, low-powered server, virtualisation, storage and cloud solutions, has unveiled its Viridis Cloud solution, powered by OpenStack and ARM.

The Viridis Cloud solution is one of the world's first commercially available cloud offerings based on ARM processor technology. Built for the server market, these new cloud offerings provide high performance-to-energy efficiency perfect for scale-out cloud infrastructures.

The product is available in a number of configurations that combine Boston's 2U compute intensive platform and 4U storage platform in order to provide scale-out infrastructure. These solutions are available for IaaS, Web/PaaS and dedicated server hosting environments.

Boston will be publishing benchmark results and further information on the Viridis platform on its dedicated technical blog, www.lowpowerservers.com.
