T-Mini P

Described as a highly integrated 'minicluster' and workstation system, the T-Mini P has been announced by T-Platforms. Featuring a touch-sensitive, 3.5-inch TFT panel and a powerful storage subsystem, the deskside HPC solution comes with an embedded head node, modular switches and up to eight compute modules.

A P8000 enclosure, the basis of the T-Mini P system, comes with a fixed dual-processor head node, a flexible bay to host various dual-processor compute modules, and a 16-disk 'hot-swap’ redundant storage. Clients can choose a cost-effective Gigabit Ethernet network or high-speed QDR Infiniband as a node interconnect.

The T-Mini P family is available with the P200 compute module series, based on Intel Xeon E5 2600 processors, the P205 compute module series and AMD Opteron 6200 processors. A standard-sized P20xS module is an x86 dual processor node. A double-width P20xF module supports an additional Nvidia Tesla C-series accelerator and a larger local disk count. Peak system performance is more than 2.6 Tflops in x86 configuration, or more than 3.38 Tflops in accelerated configuration with Nvidia Tesla C2075 adapters.

The T-Mini P is designed for workgroups that typically rely on high-end workstations, but are experiencing a growing need for regular access to high performance parallel clusters. An all-in-one system architecture, complemented by MS Windows HPC Server 2008 R2 operating system, helps to migrate to the HPC-based workflow.

The system is now available for pre-ordering in Russia with shipments commencing in September 2012. It will become available to European customers in the fourth quarter of 2012.
