PRESS RELEASE

HSC Version 6.0

Outokumpu Technology has released version 6.0 of its HSC Chemistry process calculation software, which enables users to simulate chemical or physical processes. It contains 21 calculation modules and 11 databases for reaction, equilibrium, heat balance, heat transfer, petrological and simulation applications.

The new flowsheet simulation module makes it possible to optimise process output, minimise waste materials, identify metering errors and improve the understanding of process interdependencies.

Other new features include: a larger enthalpy, entropy and heat capacity database with more than 20,000 species; a new Excel Add-In interface; improved Windows XP compatibility; and a new Sim module with versatile Data, Data-Fit and Geo modules.
