DEM Solutions has introduced EDEM 2.4, the latest version of its DEM simulation software, which now includes more particle contact models, faster visualisation, and other new features that further increase the versatility and performance of the EDEM simulation platform.

Already possessing the capability to simulate the flow behavior of bulk particles covering a wide range of material properties and physical phenomena, the EDEM 2.4 release provides users with an expanded physics capability, and substantially faster rendering utilising the increased power available in the latest graphics hardware.

Models for fine particle cohesion, along with the first commercially available DEM model for simulation of bulk plastic deformation, are added to the EDEM simulation tools that are used by top-tier companies around the world to develop, design and optimise the next generation of bulk solids handling and processing equipment.
