dSPACE announce TargetLink 4.0

dSPACE, a provider of engineering tools for developing and testing mechatronic control systems has announced the release of its production code generator TargetLink version 4.0.

TargetLink, dSPACE's production code generator, generates highly efficient C code directly from Simulink/Stateflow models. It supports efficient, modular development and is ISO 26262- and IEC 61508-certified.

The new version of TargetLink (4.0) features the support of matrix calculations. Control algorithms using state-space representation for highly complex applications, such as automotive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), can now be modelled efficiently with TargetLink. These complex control algorithms with matrix calculations can be converted into high-quality production C code with well-known and established TargetLink efficiency. The resulting auto-generated code is easy to integrate with legacy software.

TargetLink 4.0 now includes support of dynamic look-up tables, which make modelling of adaptive controllers easier. Other new features of TargetLink 4.0 include an easier specification of C code structures and the automatic generation of subsystems. These features help controls and embedded software development engineers reduce tedious manual design steps, iterations, avoid modelling mistakes, and ensure interface consistency. User friendly features such as customisable views in the TargetLink Data Dictionary Manager and embedded instant help functionality make TargetLink a transparent, efficient, reliant and easy-to-use tool for engineers.

TargetLink has been certified by TÜV Süd for use with safety-related projects according to ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
