CloudLIMS’ client portal enhances customer service capabilities

CloudLIMS, a provider of laboratory data management informatics has announced the release of a web-based client portal for its Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), CloudLIMS.

The client portal is designed for biorepositories and testing laboratories, such as clinical, cannabis, and environmental, facilitating quick and easy online access to sample purchase, sample storage, testing services, etc.

Additionally, it provides self-service facility to customers enabling seamless access to sample data, test results, test reports, and invoices. The testing laboratories and biorepositories can configure the client portal to grant controlled access to their customers.

With laboratories striving to enrich customer satisfaction and reduce operational costs, the client portal enables the staff to concentrate on laboratory tasks rather than on responding to routine customer service requests.

With CloudLIMS' client portal, the customers are able to access requisite information in real-time. They can place service requests, check their status, view test results, and download invoices instantly. Biorepositories and testing laboratories can add unlimited numbers of client portal users, each having unique login credentials. The client portal keeps a track on all transactions between the laboratory and their customers. All the communication and data sharing is encrypted, and therefore, secure. Key benefits of the client portal include:

  • Place purchase order for samples, storage, and tests
  • View the status of samples sent for testing in real-time
  • View and download sample test results
  • Download invoices

Please visit the upgrades page for release notes.

‘To cater to the increasing demand of testing laboratory customers to access test reports in real-time, the client portal has become an essential part of LIMS,’ said Arun Apte, chief executive officer at CloudLIMS. ‘Through its sophisticated, secure and easy-to-use client portal and seamless billing services, CloudLIMS gives laboratories an efficient way to automate laboratory operations and services,’ Apte continued.

Established in 2013, CloudLIMS is an energetic team of professionals producing cutting-edge laboratory software solutions, such as sample management software and LIMS.

Building a Smart Laboratory 2018 highlights the importance of adopting smart laboratory technology, as well as pointing out the challenges and pitfalls of the process

Informatics experts share their experiences on the implementing new technologies and manging change in the modern laboratory

This chapter will consider the different classes of instruments and computerised instrument systems to be found in laboratories and the role they play in computerised experiments and sample processing – and the steady progress towards all-electronic laboratories.

This chapter considers how the smart laboratory contributes to the requirements of a knowledge eco-system, and the practical consequences of joined-up science. Knowledge management describes the processes that bring people and information together to address the acquisition, processing, storage, use, and re-use of knowledge to develop understanding and to create value

This chapter takes the theme of knowledge management beyond document handling into the analysis and mining of data. Technology by itself is not enough – laboratory staff need to understand the output from the data analysis tools – and so data analytics must be considered holistically, starting with the design of the experiment
