AcuSolve Windows CCS support

Acusim Software announced its AcuSolve computational fluid dynamics (CFD) solver now supports Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 (CCS), providing mainstream computer aided engineering (CAE) users access to a robust, scalable, fast and accurate CFD solution in the Windows high-performance computing (HPC) environment.

A general-purpose, finite element-based CFD solver, AcuSolve enables scientists and engineers to seamlessly integrate a powerful CFD solver with their design and analysis applications to excel at solving complex multidisciplinary design problems that involve coupled fluid flow and structural phenomena. The addition of Windows CCS support presents a scalable AcuSolve CFD solution to Windows-based CAE users from desktops to workgroups. AcuSolve is also available on Windows XP, UNIX and Linux desktop computers, as well as the traditional UNIX or Linux-based HPC clusters and Symmetric Multiprocessing (SMP) systems.

Windows CCS offers comparable performance and scalability to traditional Linux-based HPC configurations, with the advantages of ease-of-use and simple deployment. Tests done with AcuSolve and Windows CCS have shown great scalability and performance, with a familiar path for users to apply more computing power as they need it.
