Visualisation Sciences Group separates from Mercury Computer Systems

Following a management buy-out (MBO), the Visualisation Sciences Group of Mercury Computer Systems, will operate as an independent entity, becoming VSG.

The MBO was supported by IRDI-ICSO Private Equity, meaning that VSG (Visualisation Sciences Group) will be a standalone company, as it was prior to the Mercury acquisition in 2004 of TGS (Template Graphics Software). Led by Jean-Bernard Cazeaux, and still with the original founders who created Avizo and developed Open Inventor, the entire VSG team is very excited about this opportunity and is looking forward to a prosperous future. VSG's primary goal is to continue to serve its customers through offices in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany and through its worldwide distributor channel.

During the past five years, VSG has been investing heavily into the research and development of its flagship products, Open Inventor and Avizo, while at the same time recording profits and achieving sustainable growth as part of Mercury Computer Systems.
