LIMS supplier announces record year

LabWare has announced record revenues for 2008, with turnover growing at a double digit rate for the ninth consecutive year. For the year ended 31 December 31 2008, LabWare's global revenues, which are derived entirely from the sales, implementation and support of the company's LabWare LIMS product solutions, exceeded $84m, an increase of more than 18 per cent over the prior year.

Calendar year 2008 also saw the continuation of strong growth in LabWare's customer base, particularly among key enterprise-scale global projects exceeding 200 concurrent users and competitive system replacements. In total, more than 85 new customers came on board during the course of the year. Growth was consistently strong across all market segments, and throughout all geographic regions, with particularly strong results coming in the life sciences, clinical and public health sectors. This brings to over 440, the number of organisations that have become new LabWare LIMS customers over the course of the past five years, all of which selections have involved extensive competitive evaluations. In addition to these new customer orders, the company also continued to benefit from license expansions and new system installations among its established customer base.
