Tech-X Corporation has released OOPIC Pro, version 2.0. OOPIC Pro is a particle-in-cell plasma physics simulation code that improves plasma physics education, solves challenging problems in basic research, and aids in plasma-processing equipment design, analysis and optimisation.
Created by scientists and programmers with years of plasma simulation experience, OOPIC Pro simulates physical systems, including plasmas, beams of charged particles with self-consistent and externally generated electric and magnetic fields, and low-to-moderate density neutral gasses within a wide variety of boundary conditions.
The intuitive user interface allows researchers to select and edit model input files, control simulations, set data dump and plotting parameters and simultaneously visualise results in multiple ways as the simulation is running. Users get immediate feedback and can choose from more than a dozen 2D and 3D diagnostics.
