Mitrionics, a provider of FPGA-based processing for accelerated computing, in collaboration with Nallatech, a supplier of high-performance commercial off the shelf (COTS) FPGA solutions, have announced the availability of a FPGA Accelerator Kit. The package is targeted at customers within the defence and bioinformatics sectors interested in maximising the potential of COTS products. The kit comprises of an 8-lane PCI Express card featuring a Xilinx FPGA directly coupled to multiple independent banks of SDRAM and SRAM memory. Programming this flexible, high performance hardware is simplified using the accompanying Mitrionics development platform.
