The deployment of EDEM as part of the design process continues to support FLSmidth's reputation for innovation, and the company aim to offer optimum solutions tailored specifically to customers' needs. This investment in EDEM will help FLSmidth to shorten development schedules, improve operational efficiency and retain their technological advantage in the market. Michael Bo Dragsdal Hansen, simulation engineer at FLSmidth, says that vital information in the design phase can be extracted early in the process. 'Using EDEM, we can gain a lot of information in the design phase, often information we could not previously measure.'
