New partnership serves Brazillian HPC cluster market

Bright Computing, a developer of cluster management software for high performance computing (HPC), and Scherm Brazil, a provider of HPC systems, are now partnering to provide CPU and GPU cluster systems to the Brazilian market. Following the agreement, Scherm will install Bright Cluster Manager as part of the build and testing process, and provide it as the management solution in their ClusterTop platforms.

The Scherm ClusterTop series is available in eight variations optimised for specific purposes, from large systems to compute-intensive servers that support cloud computing systems and high-speed GPU-based graphics systems. These HPC systems are customised to support a wide range of industry-specific applications.

‘Bright Cluster Manager will enable our customers to be fully operational within hours of installing their ClusterTop systems, significantly reducing their “time-to-computing” requirement and workload,’ said Ilson Schames, sales director at Scherm. ‘Bright will also greatly reduce the important task of managing their HPC clusters, freeing resources to address their other needs.’
