Intelligent approach to low-carbon designs

Intelligent Energy, a provider of green power technology, is using a suite of Ansys multiphysics products to develop and optimise complex designs for low-carbon hydrogen fuel cells for the automotive and other industry sectors.

The UK-based international company evaluated the available simulation products on the market and chose Ansys for its extensive experience in the automotive and energy sectors, its robust multiphysics portfolio and its ability to reliably and efficiently solve complex models such as fuel cells.

'Ansys enables us to quickly explore design issues in a virtual environment before committing resources to prototyping,' said Matt Lennard, principal engineer at Intelligent Energy. 'Its software gives us confidence that advances in our technology will be successful in exceeding customer requirements while streamlining our product development process and reducing time to market.'

'Forward-looking companies like Intelligent Energy are increasing their use of simulation earlier in the product development cycle to cultivate intellectual property, drive innovation and to meet the power demand of its products,' said Ahmad Haidari, director of energy at Ansys.

'As a part of our commitment to simulation-driven product development, Ansys will continue to work with our customers to gain insights that the extended community will find valuable as they implement multi-physics simulation, systems-level design and embedded software.'
