ARM Research Summit 2017

The second annual ARM Research Summit is an academic meeting to discuss future trends and disruptive technologies across all sectors of computing. It will take place in Cambridge over the 11-13 September 2017, and will be hosted at Robinson College.

The Summit includes talks from the leaders in their research fields, demonstrations, networking opportunities and the chance to interact and discuss projects with members of ARM Research.

BSC simulation code CALIOPE 'goes further'

In a recent editorial, Nature Geoscience has highlighted the work of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center on a simulation code called CALIOPE, which provides 48-hour air quality forecasts for Spain and Europe. The piece, published at the begging of February, highlights the health problems associated with air pollution which not only affects developing countries but many of the world's major cities.
