Genomics Workbench 3.0

CLC bio has introduced the latest version of its Genomics Workbench software. Version 3.0 includes new features such as digital gene expression, expression analysis of micro arrays and of RNA-seq data, and also builds on existing features by way of an overhauled long reads assembler, which the company claims is 15 times faster than the previous version.

CLC Genomics Workbench can analyse and visualise data from all major next-generation sequencing platforms, such as Illumina's genome analyser, SOLiD by Applied Biosystems, 454 by Roche, and HeliScope by Helicos. The software will run on Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux, including 64-bit versions.
