GageMetrics Version 2.0

ASI DataMyte has released the latest version of GageMetrics, its precision measurement software, which includes the ability to communicate with analogue gauging, including LVDT probes.

GageMetrics Version 2.0 now works seamlessly with the ASI DataMyte Model 916 Precision Gaging Multiplexer to interface with standard LVDT analogue probes and high-frequency miniature IET probes. The new version also supports Marposs DigiCrown digital probes in addition to Solartron Orbit probes. Now GageMetrics works to integrate smoothly with a system and saves time and money, regardless of the range of measurements, or choice of probes.

With the release of Version 2.0, GageMetrics Software is also Q-DAS certified. The Q-DAS ASCII data transfer format lets you compare data from a variety of measurement systems without complications, allowing for consistent data management and analysis. In addition to the Q-DAS File Exchange format, GageMetrics also exports data in these other formats:

  • ASI DataMyte GAM Files used by ASI DataMyte Importer to insert data into the database
  • Text files used for ASI DataMyte DataMetrics software and Microsoft Excel to perform in-depth analysis

Before the availability of GageMetrics, many precision measurement applications required a steep learning curve and many trial and error sessions before they could be implemented on the shop floor. GageMetrics uses clear and simple colour-coded graphics that minimise training time, start-up time and the potential for operator error. These features also minimise differences from one user to the next, ensuring reproducible results across different operators and shifts. Because the same software is used for both manual and unattended measurement, data from both types of applications is stored in the same networkable database for analysis and correlation studies.
