HudsonAlpha to expand Encyclopedia of DNA Elements Project

Today the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, a nonprofit genomics and genetics research institute, has been awarded a four-year, $6.7 million grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for the next phase of the Encyclopaedia of DNA Elements (ENCODE) Project, a fundamental genomics resource used by many scientists to study human health and disease.

TGAC installs new supercomputer

The Genome Analysis Centre (TGAC), a research institute based in the UK, has dramatically reduced the time to perform large genome assembly with the installation of a new supercomputing platform based on two SGI UV 300 systems

IPA-Metabolomics

Ingenuity Systems has introduced IPA-Metabolomics, a complete solution within its Ingenuity Pathways Analysis software that helps researchers to understand metabolomic data in the context of dynamic signalling and metabolic pathways.

Genomics software aids cardiovascular research

The University of British Columbia's (UBC) James Hogg iCapture Centre for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Research has selected InforSense GenSense to support its genetic research programmes into heart, lung and vascular systems.

Strategic partnership for genomics companies

Molecular Connections database Netpro will be fully integrated into Genomatixs biological networks and pathway knowledge base BiblioSphere PathwayEdition (BSPE). This is the first step in a planned strategic partnership.

Geneus

Geneus provides geneology for a sample processed through an end-to-end gene expression workflow. Each process step performed is recorded in the geneology tree.
