PRODUCTS: IMAGE ANALYSIS AND PROCESSING (APR/MAY 2006)InVivo Analyzer Suite 3.0 software offers fast acquisition and complete analysis for live cell imagingMedia Cybernetics has released InVivo Analyzer Suite 3.0 for live cell imaging. InVivo Analyzer Suite combines three scientific software applications into a complete live cell imaging solution. This new version release takes advantage of the fast acquisition tools of InVivo, the advanced analytical capabilities of Image-Pro Analyzer and the sophisticated 3D rendering features of 3D Constructor. InVivo Analyzer Suite 3.0 offers sophisticated new tools for advanced live cell imaging applications. It includes a FRET Experiment Wizard that guides users through the complex process of evaluating the relationship between two fluorescent molecules. New ratio imaging features include an intensity calibration interface for ratio imaging acquisition and the ability to conduct live ratio measurement and display when using an optical splitter. Users can apply variable rate time-lapse settings when acquiring images. InVivo Analyzer Suite also supports automatic calculation of Nyquist sampling for 3D acquisition. InVivo Analyzer Suite 3.0 has added support for the latest cameras, wavelength selection, biological chambers and other devices critical for live cell imaging. It also offers multi-camera support, which allows up to four cameras to be used at one time. Users will experience true simultaneous capture when using two identical Photometrics monochrome cameras. The InVivo Analyzer Suite offers all of the image acquisition and analysis tools needed for advanced live cell imaging in one easy-to-use software suite. It combines the live cell image acquisition features in InVivo with the analytical tools in Image-Pro Analyzer as well as the interactive 3D rendering functionality in 3D Constructor.
Add-ons and upgrade for AccuSoft's VisiQuestAccuSoft has launched a new Signal Processing Toolbox for its VisiQuest Version 4.2 data and image analysis solution, as well as enhancing the main product itself. Using the new add-on module, engineers in the fields of communications, audio/video analysis and development, radar/sonar, consumer, medical electronics and other markets can complete their prototypes sooner. VisiQuest 4.2's graphical programming environment combined with the wide-ranging set of functionality in the new toolbox allows electronics manufacturers to rapidly develop and test prototypes for applications such as signal compression and decompression, digital filter design, spectral analysis, and noise reduction. The comprehensive set of signal processing, analysis, and visualisation functionality available in the toolbox allows scientists and engineers to easily apply and modify dozens of industry-standard digital filters. Users can rapidly decompose signals using a series of transforms (including FFTW, Hilbert, etc.), perform convolution, deconvolution, correlation (auto, cross, matrix, partial, rank, etc.) and covariance (auto- and cross-). All of the functionality is available in the VisiQuest graphical programming environment, meaning engineers do not need to write any programs using a proprietary language when developing and testing their prototypes. As a result, they can dramatically improve their ability to get products to market faster. VisiQuest 4.2 itself now has a number of new features for its Windows version that are already available for its UNIX releases. The ability to make runtime changes to an application dramatically speeds testing by allowing complex applications to continue to execute while the user conducts fine tuning.
