JChem Extensions for KNIME
4 February 2008
Infocom Corporation has launched JChem Extensions for KNIME, which allows researchers to deal with chemical structure data using ChemAxon’s software tools such as Marvin, JChem, Standardizer, on the KNIME open source workflow platform.
JChem Extensions has a set of new KNIME nodes which users can use to build their own workflows and data mining applications for working with chemical data. KNIME also allows users to integrate their own software developed in house and other commercially available software tools such as those from Schrödinger or Tripos.
JChem Extensions contains has about 20 novel nodes for the KNIME workflow platform, from basic functions dealing with chemical structure data (Basic module) to special functions using ChemAxon’s software tools such as Marvin, JChem, Standardizer and more.
Infocom also offers next generation cheminformatics solutions via the J-Strike series. Work is currently underway in preparing a KNIME node to enable access to J- Strike functionality. J- Strike series, through ChemAxon’s highly granular API and INFOCOM’s accumulated know-how through many years of systems integration for pharmaceutical and chemical Institutions, is a customisable web-based system, which helps scientists better handle and extend information and processes useful in modern life science and chemical research.
