The CodeQuest biocomputing workstation from TimeLogic makes use of field programmable gate array (FPGA) technology to provide high-performance computing for 454 data analysis, oligo mapping and comparative metagenomics. It gives users the processing power of a cluster, but it is compact enough to fit on their desktop.
Setup is easy, and the workstation can connect to standard networks and power supplies. It allows users to perform Tera-BLAST, Smith-Waterman and HMM analyses for fast, accurate bioinformatics solutions.
CodeQuest also includes PipeWorks, an easy-to-use scientific workflow design tool to build annotation workflows with a drag-and-drop interface. Users can include Perl snippets or wrap their own code for more comprehensive workflows.
