Seneca, a leading designer and manufacturer of cutting-edge high-performance computing (HPC) cluster solutions, has introduced the A24 Series HPC compute node, designed to scale to the evolving needs of small departmental research clusters as well as high density national laboratories.

The A24 Series HPC Cluster aims to offer flexibility and density in a 2u form factor, including: Intel Xeon processor E5-2600; four PCI-E x16 slots in a 2U server platform, allowing the deployment of up to four Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors or four Nvidia Tesla GPUs; integrated single port Mellanox ConnectX-3 FDR InfiniBand with QFSP interface; and active or passive fans.

The A24 platform is the company’s first HPC product to offer the Intel Xeon Phi coprocessor which gives scientists extra processing power in a PCI-card form factor, for massively parallel HPC jobs.
