MathFlow, the MathML-based authoring, editing, and formatting software from Design Science, has been built into Adobe's FrameMaker 12, Technical Communication Suite 5, and its new FrameMaker XML Author 12.

Adobe customers can now work with mathematical content as MathML in their XML documents and workflows. Adobe is providing MathFlow 'out-of-the-box' as a free 30-day trial, referring their customers to Design Science for permanent licences, MathML expertise, support, and upgrades. MathFlow also works with other XML editors including Oxygen, Flare, XMetaL, and Arbortext.

Paul Topping, president & CEO of Design Science, said: 'FrameMaker is a powerful technical authoring system with a long history. We're very happy Adobe has added MathML support in their latest version and chosen our MathFlow tools to do it.'

MathFlow is used in publishing, aerospace, defense, education, government, science and engineering, elearning and assessment, as well as enterprise solutions and commercial products. The product line consists of a set of components for editing, formatting, and accessibility of mathematical notation for websites, applications, and services.

Scientists, engineers, educators, students and publishing professionals use Design Science's MathType, MathFlow and MathPlayer software for authoring and publishing mathematical notation in print and online content. DSI also licences components and technology to OEM partners who want to math-enable their own products.
