Autoscribe has released an optional grading module for Matrix Gemini’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), the module allows multiple specifications to be set up for products manufactured in batches.
The new module includes functionality to assign tests and apply limits to determine the grade of any manufactured batch; it also allows users to define which tests are performed on the samples and their specific limits for multiple specifications. The results can be given in either qualitative or quantitative forms, in the case of quantitative results they can be a single value, greater or less than a specific value, or within a range of values.
Another new feature at the sample approval stage allows the results for the batch to be compared against all the grading specifications for the material. This allows decisions to be made about the suitability of a specific batch compared to a customer’s specification or to confirm if the batch is suitable for a particular ‘live’ order.
