ET International, a provider of high-performance system software solutions and customised performance acceleration services for heterogeneous and multi-core/many-core architectures, has announced ETI SWARM technology is supporting the Intel Xeon Phi coprocessor.
The coprocessor, based on Intel Many Integrated Core (MIC) architecture, offers a combination of performance efficiency and friendly programming. It allows developers to achieve great performance at low energy and time cost, by optimising applications while taking full advantage of new technology features.
'Adding ETI Swarm to the Intel Xeon Phi coprocessor software ecosystem will enable developers to benefit from the Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors and Intel Xeon processors to maximise application performance,' said Paresh Pattani, director for data centre computing at Intel.
ETI Swarm is a full function parallel computing framework to deliver superior performance through advances in both efficiency and scalability. It exploits innovative methods of dynamic adaptive resource management and task scheduling to make best use of runtime information for guided control and allocation of heterogeneous resources achieving superior utilisation of all system components.
