Bright Computing benefits from growing network

Bright Computing has significantly expanded its global network of channel partners, local resellers, local system integrators, as well as original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The relationships are leading to collaborations resulting in increased business opportunities in its core Western, Central and Eastern European markets, Russia, the Middle East, and Africa.

From an initial focus on its core high-performance computing (HPC) management software, Bright is now providing a full range of solutions, including big data and private cloud deployment and management products.

Working in conjunction with an integrator partner and a key OEM partner, Bright recently deployed a large supercomputing environment for a major Middle East oil company. The smooth deployment, which ranks among the top 30 in the world, provided the company with Bright’s latest technology and was set up well ahead of schedule.

In addition, French industrial simulations company EURO/CFD recently deployed Bright technology as part of its pioneering new HPC infrastructure, which was delivered by France-based Bright partner, transtec. Working together with a partner enabled Bright to refresh EURO/CFD’s entire environment, providing a new platform on which they can productively run their business while minimising any disruptions.

At Denmark’s Center for Biological Sequence-Analysis, Bright deployed the largest supercomputer in the world dedicated to life science and genomics research, with 16,000 cores and more than 500 compute nodes. Bright also recently collaborated with Bull (now an Atos company), a company in cloud, cybersecurity, and big data, and a European leader in high-performance computing, on a deployment for the Maritime Research Institute (MARIN) in the Netherlands to expand their cluster, increasing their capacity and ensuring high availability - without the need for additional IT personnel.

With the new enhanced level of local partnerships, Bright is growing its footprint with a range of customers in finance, life sciences, and pharmaceutical industries across the Region.
