BlazeLink

Blaze Systems has announced a new release of its BlazeLink instrument-interfacing middleware to interface any instrument to any LIMS/ELN/SDMS. Enhancements include additional graphical parsing instructions to simplify the translation from various instrument dialogues into standard XML, and built-in support for additional output fields to include supplemental values, such as dilutions, MDL, and more.

Instrument interfacing has long been recognized as the low hanging fruit for a step change in laboratory effectiveness, often delivering 20 to 40 per cent labour savings, eliminating a 1 to 3 per cent transcription error rate, and reducing turn-around time – all with attendant benefits to the enterprise. BlazeLink can deliver these benefits by integrating any instrument, whether simple or complex, with any LIMS at low cost per instrument. It supports unidirectional or bi-directional operation, handling the entire integration task, including transport, translation, and data augmentation.

The software usually operates in a fully automated and unattended mode, but may also provide an operator interface for data review and augmentation.

BlazeLink is configurable for any data source or destination, employing tools such as a powerful visual parsing program, including visual debugging, XML style sheets, comprehensive calculation processor, plug-ins for special protocols and web services access, and more.
