Genedata’s system for high throughput screening of data is being used at Japanese pharmaceutical company Chugai to discover drugs for cancer and bone and joint diseases.
Genedata Screener has been used over the past 12 months at Chugai, providing assay optimisation and validation screening. It has provided more robust measures for the biological effects of drugs. It also provides data quality assurance, and automates the analysis process.
The collaboration began with a case study performed on data from Chugai’s research facilities near Tokyo, demonstrating the speed and efficiency of Genedata’s computational approach.
'Data visualisation and data quality assurance were key drivers behind choosing Genedata’s solution,' explained Hiroki Takaya, group manager of the pharmaceutical technology department, Chugai Pharmaceutical.
This is Genedata's first Japanese project, and represents a conscious effort to increase its global position in the market.
