InforSense, a provider of enterprise real-time analytics and Thermo Electron Corporation, a provider of analytical instruments, have announced a three-year OEM agreement. Under this agreement, InforSense will provide their KDE platform to Thermo for integration into their BioWorks package for proteomics data analysis.
BioWorks is a suite of layered software applications specifically designed to make protein identification easier. The main engine of BioWorks is the SEQUEST protein identification algorithm that provides the ability to directly analyse proteins in mixtures. InforSense KDE rapidly integrates data sources, analytic software tools, and applications, within a single informatics framework. It is hoped this joint offering will accelerate the discovery of disease-specific protein biomarkers.
