High-performance computing competition for UK students
26 November 2007Tweet
Think you know how high-performance computing could change the world, but don’t have the resources to prove your solution? Microsoft has launched a competition that could help you to realise your idea.
Entrants to Imagine Cup 2008 will need to outline how their solution, which makes use of high performance computing, could help to solve a compelling problem affecting ordinary lives.
Competitors that reach the second round will receive £2,000 and the chance to buy the Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 software at a reduced rate of just one pound per node to help them realise their solutions. These solutions will then be presented to HPC experts for the chance to win a £5,000 prize for each member of the team.
The deadline for the first phase of the competition is 14 December 2007.
