Bright Computing supports OpenStack

22 January 2014

Bright Computing, a vendor of management solutions for clusters and clouds, is now a supporting organisation of the OpenStack Foundation.

Bright’s contribution to the OpenStack community will focus on improving the installation, configuration, monitoring, and management of OpenStack deployments. By making OpenStack easier to deploy and manage, Bright hopes to accelerate the adoption of this open cloud platform.

OpenStack is an open source cloud platform that enables service providers, enterprises, government agencies, and academic institutions to implement cloud computing solutions.

‘OpenStack is a powerful, comprehensive cloud platform that can be challenging to set up,’ said Martijn de Vries, CTO at Bright Computing. ‘We make the process easier by bringing our server management expertise to OpenStack.’

Bright Computing previewed Bright Cluster Manager’s OpenStack support at the SC13 Supercomputing conference in Denver, general availability is planned for Q1, 2014.
