Our client is at the forefront of Biopharmaceutical Drug Development. They currently have an exciting opportunity within their Formulations department for a Senior Development Scientist. The role will involve analytical support for the formulations department.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

The successful candidate will be educated to PhD level in a relevant science discipline, preferably Pharmacology. You will have 3-4 years experience in industry with experience in some the skills. Method development of HPLC, Reverse Phase, Size Exclusion and ion. Electrophoresis, SDS-Page, IEF blots and Elisa's.

Experience in preformulations of liquids, freeze-drying and optimisation of methods would also be viewed as beneficial. Also outsourcing and 3rd party exposure maybe required.

Senior Development Engineer

These roles require experienced individuals to:

  • Design and develop software components for IDBS products within the IDBS ISO certified process.
  • To deliver commercially desirable solutions to business problems supplied as part of a project team.
  • To either produce or assist in the production of requirements, functional designs and/or project plans.
  • Carry out maintenance work on existing code bases as required or as a result of new implementation work.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Five or more years working in a commercial software development environment demonstrating an all round competency in software development. In particular, experience with graphical user interface design is required to meet the expectations of this job.
  • Good interpersonal skills in dealing with programme managers and team members within and external to your own group.
  • Ability to estimate longer software development tasks with reasonable accuracy and be able to justify and explain estimates to programme managers.
  • Productive and trusted software developer, generating consistently high quality work
  • Experience in producing functional specifications (or use cases, story-boards) and system level design (UML an advantage).
